Why does being on the right often get associated with fundemental Christians and rednecks?
I am not religious (though, I do respect all religions), I am not redneck in anyway what so ever, but, economically speaking, I'd be placed on the right because I believe in limited government, lower taxes, and I believe on cuts on programs such as welfare because I believe it should be available in only more extreme situations and less abused as it is now. I personally consider myself Libertarian because I am more liberal when it comes to social issues (gay marriage, medical marijuana, etc.), but why are the strict Christians always on the right and the Rednecks as well?
